HB420 lets St. Clair County's commission, with the Judge of Probate, appoint additional members to the county board of registrars.
The county commission, in coordination with the Judge of Probate, may appoint more members to the board of registrars (under Section 17-3-2(b)). Any added members will be paid from the compensation rules in Section 17-3-5 of the Alabama Code. The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month after it passes and is approved by the Governor (or becomes law by other means).
