Title
Coosa Co., Forever Wild Land Trust property, certain percentage of available on a marketplace for carbon credits, any income received to be credited to General Fund of Coosa Co., const. amend.
Description

Under existing law, any income generated from Forever Wild Land Trust property is required to be treated as interest of the Alabama Trust Fund and credited to the State General Fund

This bill would propose a local constitutional amendment relating to Coosa County to require the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to market carbon credits for at least 50 percent of all Forever Wild Land Trust property located in Coosa County and to provide that any income from carbon credits generated from the management of Forever Wild forest resources located in Coosa County would be credited to the General Fund of Coosa County

To propose a local constitutional amendment relating to Coosa County to make a certain percentage of Forever Wild Land Trust property available on a marketplace for carbon credits; and to require any income received to be credited to the General Fund of Coosa County.
