HB409 would increase Henry County Board of Education members’ pay by converting a $200 monthly expense allowance into a salary starting with the next term.
It adds a $200 per month expense allowance for Henry County Board of Education members, in addition to other pay, funded by county school system funds. Beginning with the next term of office after the act’s effective date, this allowance is converted into a salary for all board members. The act applies only to Henry County and becomes effective on the first day of the third month after it is passed and approved by the Governor (or becomes law otherwise).
