The bill directs the State Director of Personnel to regularly review job classifications and reduce degree requirements where practicable.
It requires the State Director of Personnel to regularly evaluate the educational, experiential, and training requirements for each state job classification. It requires identifying classifications where those requirements could be reduced. It requires reducing, to the extent practicable, the number of classifications that require a four-year college degree for employment. The act becomes effective October 1, 2024.
