- Fishing; Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources prohibited from adopting slot limit rule for tournaments on Coosa River under certain conditions
- Description
Under existing law, the Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources may adopt rules deemed to be in the best interest of the conservation, protection, and propagation of fish.
This bill would prohibit the commissioner from taking administrative action that would prohibit the possession of a fish of a certain length in a fishing tournament on the Coosa River unless evidence has been provided that restocking attempts have been made and have failed in the subject area.
