Existing law prohibits the manufacture or sale of corn masa food products that are not enriched with a minimum amount of folic acid.
Existing law also exempts certain types of corn masa products from this requirement.
This bill would add corn masa flour to the products that must be enriched.
This bill would revise the corn masa products that are exempt from this requirement to include certified organic corn masa flour and products.
This bill would also make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style.
