Title
Multi-member boards; Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker, and President Pro Tempore authorized to replace any board member whom the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker, and President Pro Tempore has appointing authority over
Description

Various laws establish multi-member boards, authorities, and commissions and provide for their membership and duties. The composition of these boards, authorities, and commissions often includes members appointed by the Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.

This bill would authorize the Governor, the Speaker, and the President Pro Tempore to remove and replace, at any time, a member of a board, authority, or commission over which the Governor, Speaker, or President Pro Tempore has appointing authority, provided the new member meets the applicable qualifications to serve.
