Mike Segrest is a practicing attorney in the 5th Judicial Circuit, comprised of Chambers, Macon, Randolph, and Tallapoosa counties.
The son of Dale and Betty Segrest, Mike is a graduate of Tallassee High School, where he was captain of the football and baseball teams and Student Government Association President. Mike then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Faulkner University and a law degree from Birmingham School of Law.
Now, Mike and his wife, Traci, live on their family farm in the Milstead community of Macon County. There, the two raise cattle and goats. They are the proud parents of Forrest, 24; Fischer, 20; and Steele, 19. Forrest is set to marry Miss Kelsey Butler on May 7; Fischer and Steele attend Huntingdon College.
A lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, Mike has also served on the board of directors for the Tallassee Area Chamber of Commerce, the Tallassee Industrial Development Board, the River Region Youth Football League; and the Tallassee Youth Football League. He has also volunteered as a youth baseball and softball coach.
As an avid outdoorsman, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and working on the farm. He grew up enjoying family time on the lake and the Tallapoosa River, and he’s passed those traditions down to his children. Whether camping at Wind Creek or one of the islands, catching catfish or crappie or trolling for stripe, Mike has done it all.
