Scott Dawson

Scott Dawson is an evangelist who has a passion for sharing the Gospel with all generations. He is a uniquely-gifted communicator who is also an author, husband, and father. From speaking to students in high school gymnasiums to senior adults in conferences, serving in these roles has given him the ability to connect with those from all walks of life.

Scott is a proud graduate of Samford University and Beeson Divinity School. He founded Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association (SDEA) in 1987 when he was only 19 years old. Since then, SDEA has presented the Gospel face-to-face to over a million people across the nation. The ministry reaches thousands of students every year through Strength to Stand student conferences. In addition to reaching students, SDEA has been innovative in finding ways to share Christ with groups across the nation. One of these ways includes combining America’s favorite pastime with God’s greatest gift by hosting Safe at Home Faith and Family Nights in Major League Baseball stadiums.

Scott has published several books including Dear God, Why? and The Complete Evangelism Guidebook. In his free time, Scott can be found on the golf course or spending time with his family. Scott and his wife, Tarra, along with their kids currently reside in Birmingham, Alabama.
