Travis Hendrix

In Office

Alabama State Representative for District 55

About

I was born and raised in Tuxedo Court Public Housing Community in Ensley. Tuxedo Terrace housing community has now replaced Tuxedo Court, known as the, "the Brickyard." My upbringing was plagued with the harsh realities of many people in that area and also the strength of my grandmother who raised me on the importance of service, sacrifice and prayer.

I attended Ensley High School, completed a GED program and went on to attend Miles College. I completed my bachelor's degree and went on to receive my master's degree in Strategic Management at Oakland City University. I am a proud father, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and True Love Church Ensley.

I have always been a go-getter that exceeds standards and expectations. I believe District 55 deserves a leader who is capable and will fight for change until our collective community vision has been reached.
