Title: Court costs in criminal cases, additional in municipal, district, and circuit courts, distrib., appropriation, Sec. 12-19-182 added; Sec. 36-18-32 am'd.; Act 2009-768, 2009 Reg. Sess. am'd.
Description: Under existing law, Act 2009-768 provided for additional court costs in certain criminal cases and for the distribution of the court costs.
This bill would repeal that part of Act 2009-768 that provided for court costs in certain criminal cases and would create a new code section to provide for court costs in the same cases and in the same amount as provided in Act 2009-768. The bill would provide for the distribution of the fees when collected in the same manner as provided in Act 2009-768.
