Motor vehicles, distinctive license tags, Forestry Commission and Firefighters' Personnel Standards and Education Commission required to prepare lists of persons eligible for, widow or widower of firefighter or volunteer firefighter who dies in line of duty authorized to receive free license tag, Sec. 32-6-272 am'd.
Description

This bill would require the Alabama Forestry Commission to prepare a list of members of certified volunteer fire departments and to require the Firefighters' Personnel Standards and Education Commission to prepare a list of fire department personnel eligible for distinctive motor vehicle license plates

This bill would authorize the widow or widower of a firefighter who dies in the line of duty to receive a free license plate and the widow or widower of a volunteer firefighter to receive a free license plate

To amend Section 32-6-272, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the issuance of distinctive motor vehicle license plates, to require the Alabama Forestry Commission and the Firefighters' Personnel Standards and Education Commission to prepare lists of persons eligible for distinctive motor vehicle license plates; and to provide for the receipt of a free license plate for a widow or widower of a volunteer firefighter, or any firefighter who dies in the line of duty.
