Bill Summary
Under existing law, the net proceeds of the revenue derived from the sale of National Guard license plates are distributed to the National Guard Historical Society. These funds are required to be used for society education programs and for the administration and preservation of museum artifacts of the Alabama National Guard Museum.
This bill would distribute the proceeds to the National Guard Foundation and the funds may be used in furtherance of the foundation's program and purposes.
To amend Section 32-6-111.2, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to National Guard license plates; to distribute the net proceeds from the sale of the license plates to the National Guard Foundation; and to further provide for the use of the funds.
