HB210 would allow Sunday alcohol sales in Dale County between 1:00 PM and midnight, contingent on a countywide vote, with municipalities able to opt out.
It authorizes on-premises and off-premises sale of alcoholic beverages on Sundays from 1:00 PM to midnight for properly licensed retailers in Dale County. Municipalities within the county can opt out of this provision by local ordinance or resolution. A referendum will be held at the November 2018 general election to decide whether Sunday sales will be allowed; if the majority votes Yes, Sunday sales would be authorized as described and would become law upon the governor's approval. The act does not change other Dale County alcohol laws.
