Title: Environmental Management Commission, membership to include licensed geologist, Sec. 22-22A-6 am'd.
Description: Under existing law, the Environmental Management Commission is comprised of seven appointed members and is housed within the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. Its duties include the selection of a director of the department and the development of environmental policy for the state.
This bill would change the qualifications for one member of the commission to provide that he or she may be an individual licensed by the Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Geologists.
