HR509 194092-1 By Representative Howard RFD: First Read: 28-MAR-18 194092-1:n:03/28/2018:AR/ar LRS2018-1569 HONORING JIMMIE L. LOTT ON THE OCCASION OF HIS 100TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. WHEREAS, highest commendations are herein presented to Mr. Jimmie L Lott on the occasion of his 100th Birthday Celebration; and WHEREAS, Mr. Jimmie L. Lott was born on April 14, 1918, in Carrollton, Mississippi, and was a faithful and dedicated member of Brown Chapel CME Church; and WHEREAS, he proudly served his country for 29 years in the United States Military, having served in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the War in Vietnam; and WHEREAS, Mr. Lot has three sons who have also served in the United States Military, Charles Lott, United States Army, Arthur Lott, United States Marines, and Afrid Lott, United States Army; and WHEREAS, Mr. Lott joined Mt. Sinai AME Church of Centreville, Alabama, in January 1971; he is still active in the choir and has served as Steward, and Sunday School Superintendent; and WHEREAS, he has served on the Centreville City zoning and water boards, worked with the American Red Cross, and is a "Distinguished Man" in his community; and WHEREAS, it is a tremendous privilege to recognize the contributions of Mr. Lott to his country, his community and his church, and uplift such a remarkable gentleman on the occasion if his 100th Birthday Celebration; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Mr. Jimmie L. Lott is honored and commended, and he is warmly recognized and appreciated, and it is directed that a copy of this resolution shall be presented to Mr. Jimmie L. Lott in highest tribute.
