Section 1
Any municipality within this state may enact or administer any ordinance, policy, rule, or other mandate requiring an employer to provide any employee, class of employees, or independent contractor with an hourly wage that exceeds the hourly wage required by federal law.
Section 2
All laws or parts of laws which conflict with this act are repealed. Specifically, Article 2A, the Alabama Uniform Minimum Wage and Right to Work Act, commencing with Section 25-7-40 of Chapter 7, Title 25, Code of Alabama 1975, is repealed.
Section 3
This act shall become effective on the first day of the third month following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
