SB19 would allow the Etowah County Board of Registrars to meet up to five days a week, instead of being limited to a fixed number of meeting days each year.
It amends Section 17-3-8 to let the Etowah County Board of Registrars meet not more than five days per week for official duties, with the actual number of meeting days determined by the board's quorum. This replaces the previous yearly cap (207 days) for Etowah with a weekly limit. It also maintains the ability to hold special registration sessions (up to 25 days) with notice requirements, and the act becomes law on the first day of the third month after governor approval.
