- Public contract, to provide prohibitions on the Governor and executive agencies of the state from entering into certain public contracts without approval by the Legislature, const. amend.
- Description
This bill would propose an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to provide that, except as otherwise provided by general law, the Governor and executive agencies of the state may not enter into a contract or other binding agreement that imposes an obligation on the state for a contractual period of more than two years or for consideration of more than five million dollars ($5,000,000), without the approval of the Legislature as provided by general law.
