Bill Summary
Under existing law, the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners is responsible for the licensing and regulation of social workers in the state.
This bill would authorize the board to charge and collect fees for verifying the existence of a current license, reactivating an inactive license, reinstating a lapsed license, making application to act as a continuing education provider, and registering a supervisor.
This bill would also make technical corrections to reflect changes in license names.
To amend Section 34-30-57, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the duties of the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners; to authorize the board to charge and collect fees for verifying the existence of a current license, reactivating an inactive license, reinstating a lapsed license, making application to act as a continuing education provider, and registering a supervisor; and to make technical corrections to reflect changes in license names.
