Title
Water utilities, nonprofit corps, not organized under Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975, audit by Examiners of Public Accounts under certain conditions
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a nonprofit public
corporation organized pursuant to Title 11 of the
Code of Alabama 1975, is subject to audit by the
Department of Examiners of Public Accounts. A
nonprofit corporation that provides water service
to the public and that is not organized under Title
11 is not required to be audited by the department</p><p class="bill_description">
The bill would provide for a nonprofit
corporation that provides water service to the
public in this state and that is not organized by a
county or municipality as a public corporation to
be audited by the Department of Examiners of Public
Accounts</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to nonprofit corporations that provide
water service to the public; to allow a nonprofit corporation
to be audited or examined by the Department of Examiners of
Public Accounts.
