House Conference Committee on HB125 Hearing
Room 617 at 20:45:00

HB125 provides supplemental FY2023 funding from the Veterans' Assistance Fund and the State General Fund to a wide range of state agencies, and restructures a conditional corrections funding mechanism.
It allocates $10,000,000 from the Veterans' Assistance Fund to the Department of Veterans' Affairs for FY2023. It appropriates $207,623,865 from the State General Fund to various state agencies and programs for FY2023 to fund numerous projects and services. It also amends the existing conditional appropriation for corrections by creating a $40,000,000 reserve to hire additional correctional officers, to be released in four quarterly installments only if specified conditions are met, with fallback to the Corrections Capital Improvement Fund if those conditions are not satisfied. The act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval.
