Title: Relating to commissions; to amend Sections 9-14C-2 and 9-14C-8, Code of Alabama 1975, to provide for the Red Mountain Greenway and Recreational Area Commission to be renamed the Jefferson County Greenways Commission.
Description: Under existing law, the Red Mountain Greenway and Recreational Area Commission is responsible for acquiring, establishing, operating, and maintaining the land and buildings along Red Mountain in Jefferson County as a greenway, recreational, and educational area, alternative transport route, and historic site.
This bill would rename this commission the Jefferson County Greenways Commission.
