House Health Hearing
Room 206 at 10:30:00
Under existing law, the State Board of Prosthetists and Orthotists licenses and regulates the practice of prosthetists and orthotists. Under the law, national boards that certify practioners and facilities relating to prosthetists and orthotists to the state board are required to be accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). The NCCA is no longer involved in the certification of national boards relating to prosthetists and orthotists.
This bill would delete the requirements that national boards that certify practitioners and facilities to the state board be accredited by the NCCA.
