- Relating to building codes; to authorize the use of certain refrigerants and refrigerant-equipped products that are in compliance with the National Clean Air Act.
- Description
Under existing federal law, the National Clean Air Act authorizes the use of certain acceptable alternative refrigerants used in various appliances.
The alternative refrigerants are not included within the currently adopted version of the state building codes.
This bill would authorize the use of the federally accepted alternative refrigerants.
