SB191 lets the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board own and operate its own warehouses and the real property they sit on.
Introduces a new section that lets the ABC Board acquire and hold real property in its own name for owning and operating a warehouse or warehouses. It allows purchasing, gifts, or other lawful ways to obtain property, but not through eminent domain. The change clarifies and expands the Board's authority beyond warehousing to distribution infrastructure, with an effective date of June 1, 2024.
