- Description
<p class="bill_description">Currently, applicants for licensure as a
polygraph examiner must apply in writing to the
Board of Polygraph Examiners and the application
contains requests for certain information as
determined by the board.</p><p class="bill_description">This bill would require applicants to submit
to two complete sets of fingerprints to the board;
would require the board to submit the fingerprints
to the Alabama Bureau of Investigation (ABI); would
require the ABI to forward a set of the prints to
the FBI for a national criminal history backgroundcheck; would require written consent by the
applicant for the release of the criminal historybackground information to the board; and would
require the applicant to bear the costs of the
background checks.</p>
