- Pesticides and pesticide devices, registration biennially, new fee schedule, Sec. 2-27-9 am'd. (2011-20170)
- Description
Under existing law, a person who distributes, sells, or transports in commerce in Alabama pesticides or pesticide devices is required to register each pesticide or pesticide device annually with the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries and pay an annual fee of $200.
This bill would provide that registration of the pesticide or pesticide device and payment of the fee would take place biennially. This bill would implement the biennial fee structure beginning in 2012 based on the first name of the registrant. This bill would also give the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, with the approval of the State Board of Agriculture and Industries, the authority to adjust the fee if necessary.
