- Description
Under existing law, a person may qualify for an insurance premium reduction if the person is 55 years of age or older and completes a motor vehicle accident prevention course that consists of not less than eight classroom hours of instruction and is sponsored by the National Safety Council, the American Automobile Association or the AARP, or is an equivalent program approved by the Department of Public Safety.
This bill would reduce the number of hours of instruction and would allow online instruction.
