Title
Education, Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program board, may meet electronically, Sec. 16-33C-4.1 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Existing law setting forth the Prepaid Affordable College Tuition (PACT) Program board makes no provisions for the participation of board members in board meetings by virtual means</p><p class="bill_description"> This bill would authorize members of the PACT board to use virtual means to participate in any meeting of the board or a committee created by the board, and would require those means to allow public participation</p><p class="bill_description"> This bill would also require meetings of the PACT board to otherwise comply with the Alabama Open Meetings Act</p><p class="bill_description"> This bill would also make nonsubsantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to education; to amend Section 16-33C-4.1, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the composition and operation of the Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program board, to provide for the use of virtual technology to participate in meetings; and to make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style. </p>
