Title
Municipalities, ordinance establishing automated red light traffic control photographic system, prohibited
Description

Under existing law, the city council of a municipality, pursuant to local authorizing legislation, may adopt an ordinance which would provide for the establishment of an automated traffic control photographic system within the municipality

This bill would prohibit a municipality from adopting an ordinance which would provide for the establishment of an automated red light traffic control photographic system within the municipality

This bill would require each municipality that has enacted an ordinance providing for the establishment of an automated red light traffic control photographic system within the municipality to repeal the ordinance within six months after the effective date of this act

Relating to municipalities; to prohibit a municipality from adopting an ordinance which would provide for the establishment of an automated red light traffic control photographic system within the municipality; and to require each municipality that has enacted an ordinance providing for the establishment of an automated red light traffic control photographic system within the municipality to repeal the ordinance within six months after the effective date of this act.
