The annual defense bill that this amendment was attached to passed the Senate Armed Services Committee in a 25-2 vote. Former Attorney General…

Doug Jones

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today announced that U.S. Senator Doug Jones (D-Ala.) was awarded both its Jefferson–Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship and the Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award. Senator Jones is one of only two senators to have earned both honors this year, which recognizes members of Congress who demonstrate the bipartisan leadership and constructive governing necessary to move our country forward. The announcement came during the First Annual U.S. Chamber of Commerce Governing with Distinction Ceremony. “My number one priority is to improve the lives of folks in Alabama, and the best way to do that is to work across party lines to create jobs and to grow and protect our economy,” Senator Jones said. “Since I was sworn into the Senate in 2018, over a dozen…

Gardner’s kidney went to Tyson Bell, who has been on the donor list for around 2.5 years. Bell suffers from polycystic kidney disease, which runs in his family. “I get an opportunity because of the new kidney. I get an opportunity to raise my children;…
